HA. I have to send you my poem from a few years back when Martin Espada (by mistake) DRANK OUT OF MY WATER GLASS. I just about fell down.

Good for you to do the shout out for Slate. Hitting on poetry (pun intended) is a good thing.

I voted a few weeks ago. We have early voting in this state which is great, not so great at all is that it’s become a red state for presidential elections; but I did not let that stop me. I voted anyway!

Hello there,
I stumbled across your blog by accident and it turned out to be a lovely place! It just so happens that I felt like I hadn’t written anything in ages, be it blogging, poetry or a script. Thanks for giving a writer a push, or at least the motivation for a push, just as soon as I can get these thoughts out of my muddled head and onto paper. Keep up the great work. Take care…

It’s grunt work, but somebody’s got to do it if this poem’s going to get done.”

I know what you mean about keeping the creative gears lubed — It’s not unlike physical exercise. I haven’t made anything in two months, and I’m starting to feel panicky. Work, kids and summer guests are keeping me busy, but I must, I must, I must decrease the rust.
